I know choosing the right photographer is freaking hard. There are so many of us out there, and we all seem good.
You’re probably wondering if you’ll feel awkward in front of the camera, if I’m actually the right fit, or how to even tell the difference between one photographer and the next.
And on top of it all, there’s so much pressure to make this the best day of your life.
That’s why I promise I won’t be the kind of vendor who just shows up the day of and leaves.
First, we’re going to get to know each other long before you step in front of that big, intimidating lens (which can feel more like a spotlight if you’re not used to it). By the time we start shooting, it won’t feel like a formal “photo session”. It’ll just feel like you, doing your thing, while I’m there to document it.
And second, your only job is to be comfortable enough to just be. Your photos won’t look like anyone else’s, because you aren’t like anyone else.
I always knew I’d make art one day, I just didn’t think it would ever pay the bills.
For this reason, I got a college degree in Photography but for 20+ years I locked myself into a government job with steady paychecks, a pension, and plenty of stress. One day, it all caught up with me, and I knew it was time for a change.
Photography had always been there, waiting. I knew I had this gift to share with others, but I let fear hold me back and kept it as a side hustle all that time.
HELL NO!
But here we are. I said carpe diem and now I get to do what makes me (and the people I work with) feel alive.
This is why I care *so deeply* about getting to know who you really are, so you can feel at ease in front of the camera and trust that I get what this moment means to you.
